Eaton launches new series of deck hangers to help reduce installation time and simplify electric code compliance
February 07, 2018 By BlueAlly
Date: February 7, 2017 HIGHLAND, IL — Power management company Eaton today announced a new series of deck hanger brackets designed to reduce labor while meeting critical electrical code requirements through a robust riveted assembly and identical ends that do not require the installer to identify proper side prior to installation. The new B-Line series deck hanger brackets provide the minimum conduit standoff to meet the National Electrical Code (NEC) section 300.4(E) that states that cables and raceways must be installed at least 11/2” (38 mm) under decking to prevent potential damage from nails or screws. “With a unique same end design, Eaton’s B-Line series deck hanger bracket simplifies the install, allowing for a quicker install, while meeting the NEC code minimum for conduit standoff on deck hangers,” said Amelia Grattan, product line manager, Eaton’s B-Line Division. Eaton’s B-Line series deck hanger bracket supports conduit or pipe up to 1-1/2” diameter, and is Underwriters Laboratories® (UL) listed in the United States and Canada as a hanger up to a 250 lb. static load. Eaton’s S18 assembly also includes Guide Rite™ conduit and electrical box support hanger, which helps ensure proper support of boxes and conduit per NEC requirements.
